What Duckweed Looks Like:

Duckweed is a very small floating plant. It has shoe-sole shaped leaves with a small hair-like root hanging below. It resembles a four-leaf clover approximately the size of a pencil eraser. It is frequently misidentified as algae. Once established, it can cover the entire water surface and resemble a golf course green. It can cut off sunlight to submersed plants and cut off oxygen to fish and other wildlife.

How to Treat Duckweed:

Sonar Liquid A.S.

Mix the following in a tank sprayer:
This solution treats 1/4 surface acre
-8 oz Sonar
-Fill the rest of the tank sprayer with water

How to Apply: Mix according to directions into a sprayer. Place the nozzle of the sprayer underneath the water surface. Disperse the product in ten different spots in a 1/4 acre pond.

Please Note: It is important to use Nature's Blue Pond Dye with the Sonar application. This not only will let you know how well the sonar is staying in the pond, but it will also shade the sonar from being broken down by the sunlight.
