What is the Best Stocking Rate?

The Pond Guy recommends a 1 Predator to 3 Prey ratio. Predator fish include bass while prey fish include sunfish, bluegill, perch and minnows. Follow these charts for maximum fish stocking rates:

Example #A:
Based on 1 acre
·  500 3-4" Bluegills/
   Sunfish
·  100 4-6" Catfish
·  100 4-6" Perch
·  100 2-4" Bass
·  24 lbs. Minnows

Example #B:
Based on 1/2 acre
·  250 3-4" Bluegills /
   Sunfish
·  75 4-6" Catfish
·  75 4-6" Perch
·  50 2-4" Bass
·  12 lbs. Minnows

Example #C:
Based on 1/4 acre
·  150 3-4" Bluegills/
   Sunfish
