| What is the Parade of Ponds? |
Cascading waterfalls, flowing streams, tiny footbridges, floating lilies, and the flash of colorful fish – water features are a homeowner’s private, backyard paradise.
The Pond Guy’s annual Parade of Ponds features mostly residential water features. The self-guided tour runs through two consecutive days (rain or shine) – Saturday, July 18th (9am-5pm and 8pm-11pm) and Sunday, July 19th (10am to 5pm). Towns included: Algonac, Chesterfield, East China, Macomb, Marine City, New Baltimore, Richmond, St. Clair and more! This year marks our second annual lighted tour on Saturday, July 18th from 8pm-11pm, so our proud pond owners may show off their evening light decor!
The Parade of Ponds features water features that have been professionally designed and built by local landscape companies and the weekend warriors that use The Pond Guy products. 2009 also marks the addition of many new ponds to the tour, so come on out and meet some new pond enthusiasts!
Water features are a dramatic, yet flexible feature that fit well into any type of landscape plan or lot size. Features on the tour may cover most of the property with large ponds and meandering streams or be as small as 10-feet by 10-feet. The beauty of water features is that they can be highly personalized to suit the owner. Just like snowflakes, no two are alike. Visitors will be amazed at the wide variety and dramatic beauty of the features on the 2009 tour.
