What
is the Parade of Ponds?
Cascading waterfalls, flowing streams, tiny footbridges, floating lilies, and the flash of colorful fish – water gardens are a homeowner’s private, backyard paradise.
The Pond Guy’s annual Parade of Ponds features mostly residential water gardens. The self-guided tour runs through two consecutive days (rain or shine) – Saturday, July 19th (9am to 5pm) and Sunday, July 20th (10am to 5pm) and includes towns such as Algonac, Chesterfield, East China, Marine City, New Baltimore, Richmond and St. Clair. This year we would also like to begin a new tradition by having our first ever lighted tour on Saturday, July 19th from 8pm-11pm so our proud pond owners may show off their evening light decor.
The Parade of Ponds features water gardens that have been professionally designed and built by local landscape companies and the do-it-yourselfers that use The Pond Guy products.
Water gardens are a dramatic yet flexible feature that fit well into any type of landscape plan or lot size. Gardens on the tour may cover most of the property with large ponds and meandering streams or be as small as 10-feet by 10-feet. The beauty of water gardens is that they can be highly personalized to suit the owner. No two are alike. Visitors will be amazed at the wide variety and dramatic beauty of the gardens on tour.
