Initially there will be some cloudiness but this will disappear naturally after a short time.
4.4 lb. bag treats a 150 gallon pond for up to 1 year or a 500 gallon pond for up to 7 months.
10.5 lb. bag treats a 1,000 gallon pond for up to 9 months or a 2,500 gallon pond for up to 4 months.
May be used in spring, summer and fall months.

What Does Barley Do?
We have sold many units of this product in the past few seasons, and have great feed back from many customers that with the proper use of barley can led to much cleaner, clearer water in their ponds.
Is Barley A Form Of An Algaecide?
No, it is not registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency as a pesticide, and therefore no claims are made regarding it's use in preventing, removing, controlling or eliminating algae. This is an all-natural product, and does not contain any know pesticides, chemical additives, or even "ingredients" - it is just barley straw.
How Does Barley Work?
The process is not well understood, but it thought that as the straw decays in the presence of oxygen (and possibly sunlight), chemicals are released or produced that help clear water.
