Reduce mucky pond bottom with MuckAway! These pellets are designed to sink to the bottom of your pond to digest "muck", remove excess nutrients and eliminate noxious odors around your shoreline and beach areas. MuckAway is best for spot treating troublesome areas or high-flow areas such as canals and lake front property. MuckAway can break down up to 5 inches of muck per year. Each pail will treat up to 16,000 square feet. Safe for horses, livestock, birds, fish, pets and wildelife.
Application: How Does It Work? The natural bacteria in this product instantly activates as it hits the water. The bacteria multiply every 20-40 minutes and immediately start looking for a food source. This food source is contained in suspended organics and muck. Dosage Rate: Use ONE scoop per 1,000 sq. ft. of treatment area. Example: To treat a beach area that consists of 100' of shoreline and extends 20' out into the pond or lake: 100 x 20 = 2,000 sq. ft. = TWO scoops of pellets. How to Apply: Broadcast MuckAway evenly over the treatment area by scoop or spreader. When to Apply: Apply every 2-4 weeks when water temperatures are above 50°F.
