MuckAway™ pellets digest accumulated organic debris, also known as pond muck, that reside at the bottom of your pond or lake removing excess nutrients, improving water clarity and eliminating noxious odors around your shoreline and beach areas. Upon application, the MuckAway™ pellets sink below the surface of the water releasing beneficial bacteria which instantly begin digesting debris. MuckAway™ is great for spot treating troublesome areas or in high-flow applications such as canals or lake front properties. 16 scoops of MuckAway™ will treat 1,500 square feet for up to 6 months and can break down up to 5 inches of pond muck per year. MuckAway™ is a natural eco-friendly product which is safe for horses, livestock, birds, fish, pets and wildlife. As it is NOT a chemical, MuckAway™ has no shipping or water use restrictions.
MuckAway™ Dosage Rate:
Use 1 scoop of MuckAway™ per 1,000 square feet of treatment area. For Example: To treat a beach area that consists of 75' of shoreline and extends 20' out into the pond or lake: 75' x 20' = 1,500 square feet = 1.5 scoops of MuckAway™.
How To Apply MuckAway™:
Broadcast MuckAway™ evenly over the treatment area using the included scoop or a spreader.
When To Apply MuckAway™:
Apply MuckAway™ every 2-4 weeks when water temperatures are above 50°F. Treatment should continue until desired results are achieved.
MuckAway™ Restrictions and Precautions:
As it is NOT a chemical, MuckAway™ has no state or water use restrictions.

I live on a large lake and have been trying to clean up our mucky shoreline so the kids have a place to swim. I purchased Muckaway last year for the first time and have been very happy with the results. I am now back to purchase another pail for this season! |

I have gone through just last year 2 Muckaway buckets (each around $140.00) of bacteria for a 1/4 acre pond about 12 feet deep. I have two diffusion aerators (only one was recommended) and a fountain. I am disappointed with the water quality. Still looks green with a lot of muck along the shores |

The product worked fine on my shallow shoreline where the muck was only and inch or two deep. Anything deeper than a couple inches and it had no effect whatsoever. ***Response from The Pond Guy*** Keep in mind the amount of muck accumulation in the pond. Muck Away may be removing muck however the deeper the muck the longer it will take to remove and show noticable results. |

I can see my sand again. I apply it every two weeks and can actually see the difference each time i add it. I also got a great tip from one of the pond Ladies at The Pond Guy. She told me to use my rake to work up the bottom of my pond and it would work even faster, she was right! |

We have a three acre pond with an area that manages to collect all the muck and algae. We have tried the MuckAway and the Pond Clear. But, there is still a daily accumulation. Because of the expence, we have only been putting one bucket full per three to four weeks. Is there a less expensive answer to this problem? |

Unfortunately I did not have enough time to really see a difference in our pond. I purchased a box that gave me enough for two shots. I do see a slight bit of a clearing but now the weather is getting colder and it would not be worth the purchase of another box till Spring arrives. I will plan on trying it then Have a great Winter to all! |

We have found that the combination of the Muck Away, Pond Clear and the Black and Blue Dye work the best for our three acre lake. We have discovered that we need to be on time with all of these products in order to have good control in keeping the pond clean. The formula we use every two weeks is four black dye, four blue dye and one bucket each of MuckAway and Pond Clear. Needless to say it is a very costly formula, but works good. We also have four Airmax Aeration systems placed in throughtout the lake. One more item that we decided to bite the bullet was a jet ski. Another way to keep the water moving. |
