Application:
Mix in a Tank Sprayer with enough water to fill the tank. Place the spray nozzle directly under the water and disperse in 10 different spots around the pond.

8 oz treats 1/4 surface acre

16 oz treats 1/2 surface acre

24 oz treats 3/4 surface acre

32 oz treats 1 surface acre.

*When treating for Watermeal use 1.5 times selected dose.

Keep In Mind:
When treating with Whitecap you always must consider the dilution factor. Dilution comes from pond inlets such as rivers, streams and/or parking lots. In most cases if a pond receive water from outside source it must discharge this extra capacity through an outlet. This outlet will not only take the extra water out of the pond but it will take the Fluridone (the active ingredient in both Sonar and Whitecap). To have a successful Fluridone treatment you need the product to stay in the water for at least 30 days.

Another enemy of Fluridone is sunlight, sunlight breaks down Fluridone making it ineffective (this is why we never suggest spraying Fluridone directly on plants). One way we can reduce the effect the sunlight has on the Fluridone is to use Nature's Blue at the same time as a Fluridone treatment. This will not only block the sunlight protecting the Fluridone but it will provide you with a barometer for how fast the water is leaving the pond. For example if two weeks after using Whitecap, you see no results, you can ask "is my pond still blue?" If the answer is no, then chances are, the Whitecap is gone as well.

We had a terrible problem with watermeal each summer, that continued to get thicker and thicker until WhiteCap! It worked after the first application last Spring. We did apply a second bottle mid-summer just to get the last of the growth along the edges! Thank you WhiteCap, now my pond looks great!
