In spreading over the foam, the silicone active ingredient displaces surfactant molecules and thins out the lamellae, leading to destabilzation and collapse. Silica particles transported by the siloxanes onto the foam lamellae have an additional destabilizing effect on the foam. The foam bubbles bursts and the entrapped air escapes.

Use 1 oz. of Shake Down for every 100 gallons of solution. For best results add Shake Down to solution prior to foaming. If foam already exists, add Shake Down until foam is eliminated.
