A very good oxygenator, does not have to be planted. Baby fish love to hide in this plant. The feathery green foliage turns almost black in the winter when it is dormant. Grows as a dense, rootless mass that floats below the surface of the pond. It has very small white flowers in the summer that often look more like pollen floating on the surface, than a true flower.
