Frogbit - Floating Plant

The green heart shaped leaves resemble a miniature waterlily and float on the waters surface. Fleshy, heart-shaped leaves growing in a 2-6" rosette. When crowded, the leaves will extend above the water surface, otherwise they lay flat on the water surface. Small white flowers bloom in the summer. Like all floating plants, this is great for shade and added filtration from the roots.

Please Note: Frogbit is restricted for sale in CA, ME, MI, NH, VT, WA and PR.

Floating aquatic plants can be a very effective way of adding filtration and surface coverage to a water garden. Since the free floating plants, have no roots anchored in soil they draw 100% of their nutrients directly from the water, feeding on nutrients that would otherwise feed algae.Simply place these plants around your pond or in the bio-filter.
