To effectively treat weeds and algae, two things must happen:
1st - The water tension has to be broken down to allow the chemical to penetrate the water in the appropriate spot.
2nd - The cuticle of the weed has to be penetrated for the chemical to be absorbed.
Application of PondWeed Defense:
If your pond is not equipped with an aeration system, treat your pond in thirds, waiting 10 - 12 days between treatments to insure safe oxygen levels. Mix 1 gallon Pond Weed Defense with at least 2 gallons of tap water and spray directly on the pond's surface where weeds are present. 1.5 gallon treats 5,000 sq. ft. For the proper application of chemicals, we recommend the use of a
Tank Sprayer.
Please remember to follow all
label instructions.
Application of Cide-Kick:
Mix 2 ounces of Cide-Kick for every gallon of chemical mixture you are using.
Please remember to follow all
label instructions.
Restrictions of PondWeed Defense:
PondWeed Defense may be toxic to Trout if carbonate hardness of treated water is less than 50 ppm. Most surface waters exceed this limit and pose no threat. If in doubt, use the Water Hardness Test Kit.
Do not use if you have Koi or Goldfish.
No other water use restrictions.
