I put in a water garden four years ago. I have always used a Pondmaster filter in it. Since my water garden is small, and since I live in northern Michigan and didn't want to risk raccoons eating expensive coy, I put ordinary goldfish in the water garden. They have thrived with the Pondmaster filter. They have gown from tiny goldfish to a good six inches long in the four summers I've had them. In the winter they live in a tank in my basement with a Pondmaster filter. I like the filter pads because they can be rinsed and reused if necessary.

I have used a Pondmaster filter in my water garden for several years. I replace the filter media twice a year - when I move the fish from the tank in the basement in the spring to the water garden, and again when I return them to the tank in the basement in the fall. I have been very happy with the results from this filter system.
