  • Eliminate Submerged Weeds
  • Pond Herbicide is Available in Liquid or Granular Formulas
  • Aquatic Herbicide is Great For Use In Turbid Ponds

Aquathol® effectively eliminates a wide variety of submerged weeds. As potency is unaffected by surrounding organics, Aquathol® is a great choice for use in turbid water with excess organic debris. Aquathol® can be used on water bodies with slowing moving or flowing water. It begins working on contact with submerged weeds to break down cell structure and inhibit protein synthesis.

How To Apply

Aquathol® K Liquid may be applied as a concentrate or diluted with a surfactant and water depending on the equipment. Treatment Booster™ PLUS surfactant can be used with Aquathol® K to increase the chemical effectiveness.

Dilution rate: 16 ounces Aquathol® K Liquid, 2 ounces Treatment Booster™ PLUS with 1 gallon of water in a tank sprayer. Inject the solution below the water surface for submerged weeds or on foliage above the water's surface on a calm day to keep sprayed contained to target areas. Completely wet foliage for best results.

Aquathol® Super K Granular Application - Aquathol® Super K is a contact herbicide; consequently, apply when plants are present. Apply Aquathol® Super K as evenly as possible over areas to be treated.

Use a tank sprayer or granular spreader and apply according to label instructions. Over time, the weeds will begin to brown and die. Once completely dead, use a rake, like the Pond & Beach Rake, to remove dead weeds to prevent an accumulation of dead plant material and muck.

When To Apply

Aquathol® has no temperature restriction, but it should be applied when weeds are actively growing.

  • Wait 7 days before using treated water for human drinking water.
  • Wait 7 days before using treated water for domestic animal and livestock drinking water.

Bought this to treat Sago Pondweed that is starting to spread over approx. 5000 Sq.ft. pond. Absolutely non affective and would not recommend. No results at all. Waste of money. **Comment from The Pond Guy - When using liquid application, we recommend using a surfactant to break down the surface of the weed. This helps chemical treatments be more effective.**
