A virtually indestructible cast aluminum body houses the powerful 1,250 watt heating element which quickly opens a hole in the surface of your pond allowing harmful gases to escape. How To Use
Place the Farm Innovators Floating Pond De-Icer against the edge of your pond for best results. This allows the Farm Innovators Floating Pond De-Icer to operate more efficiently by reflecting heat from the side of the pond or liner. The Farm Innovators Floating Pond De-Icer plugs directly into a standard 120 volt power outlet. The Farm Innovators Floating Pond De-Icer should be used in ponds with decorative pond fish and plants where temperatures are cold enough to form a layer of ice over the surface of your pond.

I have had a few de-icers over the years and this one seems to work the best. It is a little expensive to run but I think I am going to try that thermocube and see it that helps the pocket book?
