"Save Money!!!!!"Harald Boerstler of St Louis, MO
I was able to cut 6 pieces for my skimmer from the piece and it cost less than half the price of a precut filter. Trace it out with a marker and then use a band saw to zip right through the fabric. Scraps can be used as additional filter media. HB

Works great. Thicker than the precut we had, need to cut with bandsaw. Extra thickness gives greater rigidity in the skimmer, keeping it in place.

"An absolute MUST!!"Elizabeth Meyers of Charles Town, WV
Our pond is three years old this season. We've "gotten by" using alternative materials for filter media, rather than "pond standard" filters. This year we splurged and OMG the difference!! Our water was clear before, but this media has made it CRYSTAL clear overnight! It's a hard & durable worker that we've placed in our waterfall box, pre-filter and fountain pump. Even after vacuuming, when the water becomes all stirred-up & cloudy, this filter has it clear again within hours! Definitely worth the price!!

"Simple, easy to cut"Bertie of Ferryville, WI
I had no difficulty cutting the pad with a serrated bread knife. I need a round hole for the pump. Used a steak knife for that. Having read other reviews about band saws, I was concerned (since I don't have one and if I needed to buy one, that would have blown any savings)but not to worry. A bread knife is all you need.
