Planting Instructions:
The rhizome (root) of your Pond Guy Choice Hardy Water Lily needs to be positioned in the aquatic planting media so that the cut end tuber is against the side of the planting container, not in the middle. This gives the root as much room as possible to spread across the pot. Place planting container at the bottom of the pond in up to 18" of depth allowing a minimum of ten inches of water to cover the soil surface.
Planting Container:
Use a planting container that is as large as your pond can accommodate, the larger the soil volume, the larger your Pond Guy Choice Hardy Water Lily flowers and leaves.
Planting Media:
A good quality planting media, such as Microbe-Lift Concentrated Aquatic Planting Media is preferred as the growing medium. Use of bagged potting mix and other lightweight soils should always be avoided, as they will float and continually cloud your water.
Pond Planting Location:
Locate the water lily so that the floating leaves are out of the turbulence of the waterfall or fountain spray, as water splashing on the top of the leaves will discolor and may kill them.
Fertilization:
Regular fertilization of your Pond Guy Choice Hardy Water Lily will keep your water lily blooming and growing well all season long. Tetra Pond Lily Grow Aquatic Plant Food Fertilizer Tablets or Laguna Temperature Activated Aquatic Plant Fertilizer Spikes can be pushed into the soil at planting time and from April through August, following all manufacturers' recommendation for fertilizer application rates.

"All died"Steve M of Hellertown, PA
I bought the lilies, the baskets, the gravel and the vitamins. Nothing came up. I was told later that the water was too deep at 2 feet. I feel so stupid and wish I knew better

"Wonderful Lilies"BJ Baker of Freedom, OK
I bought a red one, and the color of the flower is beautiful and vibrant. It is growing very well in my pond, it has great roots and also pretty leaves that last longer than my other Lilies that I got from my grandmother.
