How to assemble and use:
The laguna mini vacuum kit comes preassembled; all you need to do is secure the end of the pole, using the fittings provided, to the garden hose and turn it on.
When to use:
The laguna pond vac is best used when there is an excessive accumulation of organic debris in your pond; however, for optimal pond cleanliness it is best to use the vacuum once a week. The pond vac is best used during the pond season and stored away for winter.

I bought this vac because of the price. The vac works good, but the debris bag is very small. The first time I used it, the seam of the bag came apart and it filled withing a minute. I called customer service and they had no suggestions for a larger bag. I am going to try a nylon stocking and see if that will work.

This vac works really well for my small pond, it is convenient to use, the brush is excellent for cleaning my rocks and the best part is you don't have to use electricity!

"Simple and Effective"Walter of Aiken, SC
I have a small garden pool approximately 5' X 10' with a flat concrete bottom. This device reaches everything and works as advertized. Picks up small stones as well as crud and algae. Very simple to use.

"Laguna mini pond vac"David Demboski of Poughkeepsie, NY
Holy cow! My expectations were rather low with this one. I was pleasantly surprised. It vacuumed up leaves and debris very quickly. The collection net is easy on and off. The extension handle is a bit flimsy. Otherwise works well.

"Mini pond vac"Wayne Christopherson of opp, AL
I bought this vacuum not expecting much but was surprised by the power of the suction. It sucked up the half inch and smaller rocks from the bottom of my pond. The one problem with the unit is the bag comes off to easily. I am not sure if or how it could be fixed on such an inexpensive unit but it doesn't trap the really small stuff. I am pleasantly surprised with this unit and would recommend it to friends.

"Laguna Mini-Vac ok for light solids"Miriam of Lexington Park, MD
Pole is lightweight but OK for light use. Will pick up small leaves but mesh bag will not collect tiny algae. We had a warm Winter and I had 500 gallons of green murk by Spring. Had to resort to a wet/dry vac to empty most of murky water before re-installing ultraviolet light and waterfall and refilling with clean water. Mini vac should be good for summer maintenance though.

"Pond vac"Deb Jensen of Germantown, TN
This cheaply made, bit of plastic was not nearly worth the cost. It clogged, did not "vac" well, and was very awkward to use. I couldn't return it fast enough!

"Another Cheap item made in China"John M. Mole of Dublin, GA
Great example of another cheap item made in China. The wand is very flimsy. The idea is great but it just doesn't work, I will be returning it.
