- Season Long Weed Control
- Treats Floating & Submerged Weeds
- Systemic Herbicide That Kills Roots
WhiteCap® SC selective herbicide is used for the control of aquatic weeds and grasses in fresh water ponds, lakes, and drainage or irrigation canals. It is a proven reformulation of the popular active ingredient fluridone, and effectively controls a wide range of floating, submerged and emergent aquatic vegetation, including Duckweed.
Another enemy of WhiteCap® is sunlight; sunlight breaks down Fluridone, WhiteCap®'s active ingredient, making it ineffective, this is why we never suggest spraying WhiteCap® directly onto the plants surface. One way to reduce the effect of sunlight on WhiteCap® is through the use of Pond Logic Pond Dye at the same time as a WhiteCap® treatment. This will not only block the sunlight, thus protecting the WhiteCap®, but it will provide you with a barometer for how fast the water is leaving the pond. For example if two weeks after using Whitecap®, you see no results, you can then ask yourself "is my pond still blue?" If the answer is no, then chances are, the WhiteCap® is gone as well.

How To Apply
Mix the amount of WhiteCap® and water in a tank sprayer according to label instructions. Submerge spray nozzle and apply beneath the water's surface. Do not spray directly onto plants or algae. Over time, the weeds will begin to brown and die. Once completely dead, use a rake, like the Pond Logic® Pond & Beach Rake, to remove dead weeds to prevent an accumulation of dead plant material and muck.
When To Apply
WhiteCap® has no temperature restriction, but it should be applied in early spring, at the first sign of weed growth. It can take 30-60 days to control established weed growth and up to 90 days for full protection of your pond. We recommend using pond dye to reduce sunlight exposure that can reduce treatment effectiveness.
Restrictions
- Wait 30 days before using treated water for irrigation.

I was skeptical that this tiny bottle would be sufficient, but to my surprise, it worked!

We had a terrible problem with watermeal each summer, that continued to get thicker and thicker until WhiteCap! It worked after the first application last Spring. We did apply a second bottle mid-summer just to get the last of the growth along the edges! Thank you WhiteCap, now my pond looks great!

"WhiteCap Works!"Kim Machutt of Rushford, , MN
My husband and I purchased 2 bottles of WhiteCap for a big hydrilla problem in our pond. We were hesitant due to the high price but after about 60 days we noticed the hydrilla starting to work and it has pretty much all died off, all I have to do now is rake it off the top of the pond! We can now fish again. We will be buying WhiteCap again next spring!!!

We had curly leaf in our 1/3rd acre pond. Our fish loved it, but it was taking over pond. First treatment w/Whitecap was a little late in the year and it worked slowly. Second season we put it in the pond early and had no curly leaf the whole season. I was totally relieved. The amount of work for our pond was quite nill after that. Just a little algae treatment and blue dye.

The product is worth every dollar spent! I wish we had invested in it several seasons ago. We called and spoke to The Pondguy's customer service representative to make sure we vere using the product correctly - they were very helpful and WOW --- our pond is beautiful!!! We are actially enjoying our pond the way we should, NOT working on it constantly and never getting ahead of the duckweed and other water plants. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
