The newly designed and even more powerful OASE Pondovac IV Vacuum replaces the Pondovac 3, exceeding its power by more than 20 %. The OASE Pondovac IV Vacuum offers plenty of power to remove accumulated debris from ponds and water gardens and allows the pond to be vacuumed continuously by means of the two-chamber system. If one debris chamber is full, a valve is activated by an internal float-switch, which triggers the emptying of the full chamber; all the while the other is still being filled. This allows for continuous pond vacuuming and emptying of the vacuum to occur at the same time, thus saving you precious time.

OASE Pondovac IV Vacuum is the premier and preferred pond and water garden wet vacuum on the market today, and it is now even better: A new, more rugged design, along with aluminum attachment tubes and more suction power makes the OASE Pondovac IV Vacuum the only pond vacuum you ever need to own.

"Pondovac 4 Vacuum Works Great"Jan A. Stortz of Villa Park, IL

I ordered the Pondovac 4 Vacuum just before Memorial Day and it arrived in just 2 days. I have used the vacuum four times already in two months and it works great! The sludge really gets sucked up without pulling in fish or frogs--they scoot away from the end attachments. The long suction hose and four metal tubes plus clear plastic suction tube form a very good seal at the joints and I am able to reach over fifteen feet across the pond to reach the bottom at three feet below the surface. The variety of attachments provide all the items I require for removing sludge, debris, or cleaning rock surfaces. OASE made a very durable product in this and I am very pleased with the quality. The design allows easy cleaning and compact storage. There is nothing that I would change with the product. One suggestion that I would make to first time users is that when tightening the hose connection at the canister the initial dry fit must be followed up by a re-tightening after water first runs through the suction hose--otherwise the connection is not tight enough for a full vacuum and there is a loss of suction. The initial dry fit does not seal all the way and water is necessary to lubricate the connection to further tighten the hose fitting.

"Worthless for outdoor fish pond"Michael Clark of Houston, TX

Bottom Line - It might work for a swimming pool, but definitely not for a fish pond. I bought this because it seemed to be powerful. Just the opposite. Our pond is about 3 feet deep and the ground level is about 4-6" above the water level. I tried to expel the vacuum water into our bog filter over a 4" brick retaining wall, but the vacuum motor isn't powerful enough to overcome this little head. So you have to expel back into the pond through the mesh filter. Which is unnecessary pain. The vacuum itself clogs up on the smallest pond gunk, twigs, nuts, etc. There is a flap on the inlet that trips open on small debris and when that happens the vacuum quits sucking. Just disassemble the vacuum and start over. But this only occurs every minute or so - no big problem :) Even with relatively clear water, the suction is feeble. And like the other customer said, the suction is intermittent - the water does not suck in continuously, but rather in plugs. I tried everything to get this vacuum to work, but it's much easier to just clean the pond by hand. I'd be happy for someone to show me what I am doing wrong. I tried getting help from the manufacturer but got nothing. The vacuum will probably go on Craig's List.

I am very happy with this vacuum. My pond is under a tree so I get alot leaves and debris in it, with all the different attatchments it is a breeze cleaning my pond now, it gets larger debris out as well as getting in between the rocks, works great!

"Worth every penny"Joanne Bartling of Sewell, NJ

Was hesitant to buy this. Let's face it...pretty pricey, when you figure my pond is only 7ft X 4ft. and less than 2ft deep. But, truth be told, my pond was so filthy and I had no clue how I'd get it clean. Reviews here were mixed. Well let me tell you, its a great product and worth every penny. Pond cleaning is a breeze with this. I almost went with the smaller one but so glad I chose this model, since it automatically empties. It really is as simple as vacuuming your carpets.
