Use Pond Logic® Clarity Defense® to flocculate tiny particles and sink them to the pond's bottom or to be removed by the filter. Clarity Defense® locks up excess nutrients, such as phosphates, stimulates natural bacteria growth and clears cloudy water. Not only does Clarity Defense® improve pond clarity, it also adds trace minerals while buffering pH to prevent pH swings and promote a healthy fish population and pond health. How To Apply Clarity Defense®
Apply scoops directly to the pond water. For larger ponds, it may be diluted in pond water and poured evenly around the water's edge.
When To Apply Clarity Defense®
Water temperature has no effect on Clarity Defense®. Your initial doses should be applied 2-3 times per week for 3 weeks. It should be used weekly (all season long) and may be dosed 2-3x the recommended dose with no adverse effects.
Restrictions
When used in accordance with label directions Pond Logic® Clarity Defense® is completely safe for fish, plants, pets and pond wildlife.

For years I lived with murkiness in warm weather despite following all the usual recommendations (chiefly applications of bacteria and Interpet Pond Balance). I never had any obvious suspended or floating algae, just progressive visibility declines until it becomes hard to see fish on the bottom in shadows. I mixed Clarity Defense with water and spread it around the perimeter. One application fixed it. (However, I am continuing on lower maintenance doses.) The stuff works as advertised---very impressive.
