These work quite well for trimming water lilies and the leaves. You can pull the stems closer to you and cut them shorter so there is less plant material left in the pond.

When I got the scissors, the plastic handles were broken. However they cut nicely, just wish that they were not so bulky when I go to cut my hyacinths. It is hard to get them in a small space. Would recommend this product. The Pliers also came bent, however we just bent them back in place and they do the job.

The scissors work great however the first time I used the pliers they fell apart. The piece of metal connecting the handle to the pliers is to weak. Once I re-enforced it with some nylon string it works well. Cleaned my pond today in just a few minutes.

I absolutely love this product. I have Lily pads in my pond and I can clear them a good 6' out while standing right on the bank. Best of all, the blades are inexpensive utility knife blades, available anywhere. Great product.

Not the most impressively built sturdy tool in the shed, but I have tried to improvise with many other similar items (tree pruners and the like), and none of them do the job like this one does. Note how long the handle is, however, as I find myself teetering on the edge of my 10 ft by 16 ft pond to get at lilies in the middle that need to be pruned. Any larger of a pond and this would not reach. I did not get the pliers, only the scissors, and just gently use the scissors to lift cut sections out.
