How To Apply
Add 1 teaspoon of PondCare® AlgaeFix® for every 50 gallons of pond water or 1/2 cup for every 1,200 gallons (1 ounce treats 300 gallons). Thoroughly mix PondCare® AlgaeFix® into pond water by adding near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. AlgaeFix® can be mixed in a bucket of pond water and dispersed evenly around the water body. Repeat application every 3 days until all algae is controlled, but be prepared to remove any and all dead algae from sides of the pond.
Once all algae growth is under control, add one application per week, as weekly treatments will assist in controlling algae growth and reduce water body maintenance.
Warm Weather Precaution
Before using AlgaeFix®, always make sure that the pond has vigorous aeration; a fountain, waterfall, or aeration device is recommended, especially during hot summer months. In extreme summer heat, pond water contains very little oxygen.
In sunlight, algae and submerged plants produce oxygen, and in some cases may be the major source of oxygen in the pond, at night however, submerged plants and algae actually will then consume oxygen. Decomposing organic matter (dead algae) also consumes oxygen, even after it is removed by the filter, so until the filter is cleaned, decomposing organic matter may still cause the oxygen levels to drop to harmful levels if adequate aeration is not provided.
Therefore, when using AlgaeFix®, especially during the warm summer months, adequate aeration is required to keep oxygen levels healthy for your fish. Do not shut off pond pumps or aeration devices at night, as aeration must be provided to pond life at all times.
Restrictions
Do not use AlgaeFix®; with ponds containing invertebrates or crustaceans such as crabs, shrimps or crayfish.

My girlfriend recommended this product to me. She has a pond and stream with fish and found the product to be very effective and safe for fish and other critters. I have two small fountains and a water-trough lilly pond and have used this stuff successfully for all three.

This product is the best I have found for use with green sting algae. It really does the trick and is easy to apply. My 1000 gallon pond would not be clear and clean without it!

I told the saleperson the size of our pond, she sold me what was supposed to be the right size jug, 1/2 Gal., I believe. I added it twice, per the directions, and it made absolutely ZERO difference. I am extremely disappointed. Ended up using Copper sulphate later, with better results!!

To date, this is the best product for eliminating algae that I have found. I've tried other products with limited success but AlgaeFix leaves the water clear and keeps my pump filters from cloging.
