The Pondmaster® Floating Winter Pond De-Icer is designed for use in colder winter months when ice forms over the top of your water garden. The doughnut design maintains an ice free center with a vent hole at the top of the unit that allows toxic gas to escape from the pond. The thermostatic control increases energy efficiency while reducing heating times. The Pondmaster® Floating Winter Pond De-Icer will not harm flexible liners or preformed ponds. With a rugged ABS plastic enclosure and epoxy sealed internal electronics the Pondmaster® Floating Winter Pond De-Icer is built for years of use. Each Pondmaster® Floating Winter Pond De-Icer effectively treats 2,000 gallons of pond volume.

The Pondmaster® Floating Winter Pond De-Icer Includes:
  • 18' power cord
  • 120 Watts of heating power - 60Hz - 1 AMP - 110 Volts
  • 12 1/2" diameter x 4 1/2" tall ABS plastic body
  • Large vent hole nearly 3" in diameter
  • 1 Year Manufacturer's Limited Warranty

I use the Floating De-Icer along with my aeration system. This way I don't have to worry about my aerators doming over, you never know what kind of winter we are going to have so I would rather be safe now rather than sorry later.

We just had a snow storm that dumped 12 inches on us and the temperature is 19 degrees right now. The de-icer and my aerator are keeping a nice sized opening on my pond.
