Does what it's supposed to do. This is my third mag pump. I've been working my way up throught the years. My first was 250, then a 500. This is a 700 gph.(They all still work fine.) I use it with a their matching 1 sq, foot filter. You must use an add on filter or it will be constantly clogging. The 700 is perfect for the Bell Type Fountain.

I usually get excellent and honest service from The Pond Guy. I also have bought these pumps for years--although they wear out sooner than specified. HOWEVER: When this pump arrived, I saw that the box had been opened and retaped. I called the company and the rep assured me that all products were brand new, not returned or refurbished, and 'perhaps the box was open to see if all parts were in." (All two of them.) If I was unhappy , I could return at my expense. So, reluctantly, I opened the box and tested the pump. The noise of the thing is incredible! It hurts my ears it is so loud and raucous. Fish are very sound sensitive. Imagine what it would do to the fish in my little 1000 gallon pond. I am upset both by the horrible quality of this pump and the callous attitude of the rep. I will not buy this brand again, and I will not return to The Pond Guy--not for selling a malfunctioning product, but for refusing to take responsibility for it. ***Response from The Pond Guy*** Mag Drive Pumps do make noise when run outside of the water as the magnet is floating in rotation and there is little resistance. Once placed into the pond the pump will run smoothly.

Works fine, but does not pump a much of a stream elevated just 3.5 ft. Probably, would opt for a larger pump next time. I don't think it delivers 190 GPH.
