Having used this filter for the past month, I can say that it was very easy to set up and use. The top comes off easily by just flipping the locks (be sure to depressurize it first) so when the filters need cleaning it is an easy matter to remove them. All in all it was the best purchase I made for my small pond (800 gallons).

"glass sleeve protecting UV light broke"David Bomberger of Burien, WA
The filter is really good and has kept the pond clear now for 2 years. However, when I replaced the UV light on Sunday the glass sleeve protecting the the UV light cracked. It is very thin glass, and the replacement sleeve cost a third of the overall filter. Be sure to look at replacement part costs.
