Full Time Employment

While we do offer a few positions to those looking for extra work in the summer, the rest of our employees are with us year-round. You're probably asking yourself, "What can they do to a pond that's frozen over?" The short and simple answer is not much, but this doesn't mean we don't stay busy! As our busy season continues to grow, the preparation time grows with it. We dedicate a lot of our winter months to training our employees and completing projects to make our busy season that much easier and efficient for our customers and our employees. In addition, the business-to-business side of our company, builds and manufactures inventory during the winter for spring distribution.

Core Values

At The Pond Guy we put emphasis on our Core Values — we strive to demonstrate them in our day to day life. Read more about our core values on our team page.

Your Health is Important to Us

Health, vision and dental insurance for you and your dependents. The Pond Guy provides a monthly contribution to help cover these costs. Short-term disability insurance. This is a great option for employees as it provides coverage for injuries and/or surgeries for events that occur outside of work as well as maternity leave. We Help You Plan for the Future

401(k) with employer match. Our plan is absolutely amazing! Employees can roll over and/or begin contributing to their 401(k) after 90 days of employment. After one year of employment, The Pond Guy matches 401(k) contributions 1 for 1, up to 4%. Employees are fully vested immediately.

Culture is Key

We’ve all had that first day on the job... The one where we’re so impressed with the company’s excitement of their core values only to find out that that’s it. That’s where it ends. The book shuts and they're never spoken of again. That’s not us. We know that to ensure our culture reflects our core values we must practice them every day and work hard to continue, grow and sharpen them. We openly discuss these core values through our quarterly review process as well as through our training. We actively look for individuals to join our team who share these values!

Life at The Pond Guy

A Look Inside The Pond Guy

We care greatly about the health of our tribe members and their families. Due to the recent events of COVID-19 we have transitioned many of our positions to temporarily work from home when possible. For those still reporting to the office social distancing and additional cleaning measures are in place. When we are able to be together again our new spaces promote our tribe mentality. We have a brand new, kitchen and break room which features café style seating and couches. We also have an outside eating area with a great view of our Koi pond and a full-size pond just a 5-minute walk away with another great seating area. We have our own iced tea machine which is made daily and our own slushy machine for those hot days!

Hands down the top ranked item that employees love about working here is the people. Employees often describe our working environment as a laid-back environment with high expectations. Very contradictory right? We say the same thing every time it comes up. It's usually explained as a place they feel they can relate and communicate with coworkers and enjoy the comradery and teamwork of driving to meet their goals together. Our culture creates an environment of caring and working hard to ensure our customers receive a quality product in an efficient manner.
